Matt and Tina Wedding; November 10, 2012

Matt and Tina had a perfectly laid-back elegant ceremony and fete at the Marmivon House in Los Angeles.  It was a wonderful evening with personal details like a vintage typewriter with a ream of paper for guests to write on in lieu of a traditional guest book and a perfectly orchestrated playlist that was also a cd-mix given to all of the guests as wedding favors.

Most wonderful, of course, was to see the real joy and ease of commitment on both of their faces.  I was so honored to be a part of the wedding of these two wonderful individuals!

It was a magical evening.

"...On the actual day of our wedding, Gina again, totally exceeded our expectations. She set the tone for our wedding day perfectly. What a fabulous experience."

Haley-Mocciaro Wedding; September 15, 2012

Erin and Michael got married in Eagle Rock on the hottest day of the year for us Southern Californians.

The photo to the right was taken at the very beginning of the ceremony.  I'm doing a grounding blessing, and have asked everyone (bride and groom included, clearly) to close their eyes.

It was a beautiful, casually elegant day: inflections of the brides's Texan roots; perfectly thoughtful details from top to bottom; styley decorations made by Erin and the collaborative hands of many friends and family members; toasts that revealed the true closeness of the bride and groom with their family and friends; and dancing into the sweaty sultry evening.

It was a wonderful day--I was happy to be a part of it!

The photograph below is of me 'smudging' (using sage for clearing) the ceremony space.

"We did this low-ish budget style (for LA at least) but spent a much higher percentage on our officiant than most wedding budgets will tell you to. We hired Gina Zimmerman - the one wearing a glittery shawl and harem pants blessing our marriage site with sage - and it was one of the best decisions we made.
Knowing we had way way WAY too much going on while wedding planning meant we wanted to make sure the one part that actually mattered - the ceremony - was exactly what we wanted. Gina came to our home, nestled up with our cats and listened to us for hours one evening so she could write extraordinarily beautiful things for the ceremony about us, the partnership we have, and the partnership we strive towards. It was totally, completely awesome."(read entire article here)

July 17, 2011

Mary and John got married on a hillside estate just outside of Napa, CA.

It was a magical evening!
From farm-to-table family-style feasting to lanterns in the trees to an original song played in duet by the husband and father-of the-bride, the entire event was breathtaking.

Of course, the love that shone between them was the main event. I am so happy for these two, and was honored to be a part of their exquisite day!

Working with Gina was such a pleasure. After meeting in our home a few times, she was really able to soak up who we are, and create a wedding that was completely unique to us as a couple. The first time we read the ceremony, we were in tears on the couch. We were really moved by her thoughtful words, and felt that she took the ceremony far beyond what we would have come up with on our own. On the day of the wedding, Gina was a calming presence. Our grounding moment allowed me to slow down, breathe, and really take in all the love of our family and friends. We will remember our wedding ceremony forever, and are so grateful to Gina for the beautiful and thoughtful work she did.
